With articles, what you do is write an article related to the product you want to promote of a good quality and with relevant keywords, and you would then insert your affiliate link. e.g. blah blah is great blah [your link] try it now blah blah. If a reader follows the link and purchases the item, your affiliate account will be credited. Forum wise, you would find a forum relating to your niche and get involved with the community. Most won't allow you to post your affiliate links in the posts themselves, so generally people will put it in their signature. Both can be highly effective, you just need to find your niche and write quality content.

A good place to start with article marketing is ezinearticles.com always be sure when writing an article to make it informative non promotional and easy to read, In the author bio box or resource box this is where you can put a link to a site that you own with forum marketing, you can just google search what ever market your in followed by forum. in forums you are giving the opportunity to add a link to your site in your signature. When using forums always contribute and never spam, provide good useful tips and and get involved in active conversations

You can make money with article marketing and affiliate programs but it's really really really hard because u have to sell something HENCE making a sale. If you do cost per acquisition programs then you don't have to actually make a sale. try the partner with paul program he mentors you and that's what you really need. all he wants u to do is just sign up and submit an email no bull. he mentors me and i make about 600 week since march 2009 check out the vid you won't be sorry youtube.com/ watch?v= nNIw1n5yHDs
